Build From Passon For the Ride
About
Independent cycling insight, built from real miles and real wrenching
The Rider Behind the Wrench
I’m a lifelong cyclist, vintage bike restorer, and the creator of Two Wheel Tales—where real riding, real wrenching, and real testing come together. What started with a neglected Cannondale Super V turned into years of rebuilding classic bikes, reviewing gear, and sharing practical DIY repair advice.
With two decades of riding and hands-on work—from road events to retro MTB projects—I focus on tutorials, product tests, and restoration guides built for cyclists who actually put in the miles. Whether it’s tires, pedals, saddles, or full rebuilds, everything here is grounded in real-world experience.
Independent, detail-driven, and fueled by passion for the ride—this is a place for riders who want to understand their gear and get more out of every bike they own.
Built on miles, mistakes, and lessons worth sharing
What Drives This Site
Cycling is full of noise—marketing claims, spec sheet jargon, and opinions from people who don’t actually ride. Two Wheel Tales exists to cut through that. Every review, tutorial, and restoration comes from real miles, real tools, and real problem-solving. If something works, I’ll tell you why. If it doesn’t, I’ll show you where it fails.
This isn’t a content farm or a brand-driven gear blog. It’s a place built by someone who rides daily, restores bikes because he loves them, and tests equipment until it proves itself. My goal is simple: help you understand your gear, avoid bad purchases, and get more joy and confidence out of every ride.
Old bikes, new bikes, simple upgrades, or full rebuilds—if it makes you a better rider or a better mechanic, it belongs here.
(Part Of) The Fleet
I don’t just write about bikes—I ride them, restore them, and live with them. My current fleet spans 6 decades and includes everything from modern carbon racers to legendary 90s mountain bikes. Each one has taught me something—and earned its place in the lineup.
